Restructuring of public hospitals

The Association of Polish Poviats (ZPP) expressed concern about ministerial plans to restructure public hospitals.

At the end of last year, the Minister of Health appointed the Team for Restructuring of Public Hospitals. The task of the team is to develop a plan for the centralization of public health centers.

ZPP expresses doubts in relation to the proposed changes, in particular with regard to the short period of preparation by the Team and presentation of the assumptions for the draft act and the superficiality of the reform focusing only on the change of the ownership structure of medical centers.
